Bronson Murray will cut an uncomfortable figure at Invercargill's Rugby Park tonight as he watches his Highlanders team in a must-win match against the Brumbies.
The Taniwha prop knows the importance of the match but is powerless to influence the result as he nurses a shoulder injury on the sidelines.
The Highlanders started the season in red hot form with three wins against the Hurricanes, Chiefs and the Bulls in Pretoria but then went off the boil with losses against the Stormers and Crusaders.
"We've had a great start to the competition this year but the last couple of games haven't gone according to plan," he said.
The bye week has helped the team put the defeats behind them and allowed them to refocus and get "that fizz" back.
"The Brumbies might not be winning much but they're still a good team, they always put the phases together and they're hard to beat," he said.
Murray still hasn't signed the Northland contract he has been offered to play in the ITM Cup competition this year, but said he was hoping to be able to sign in the next three or four weeks.
"My agent wanted me to see what else was available before signing, so I didn't want to jump into anything, anyway we'll know for sure in the next few weeks."
