Bruce Murphy stamped his authority on proceedings with a dominant display in race four of the Northland Twilight Paddling Series at Ngunguru on Thursday.
Murphy was two minutes clear at the finish despite starting the 8km handicap race as the back marker alongside fellow ski paddler Greg Jones. Jones crossed the line second two minutes back.The series continues next week with race five, a team sprint format, in the Whangarei Town Basin.
