Kiwis in the making

Every Sunday at Otangarei, 22 rugby league teams are inaction for the Whangarei City and Districts Schoolboys Rugby League Competition.
President Sonny Hohepa said there was a tremendous increase in the number of players this season and he was extremely pleased with the way the competition was going.
He said an inter-district schoolboys' tournament between the Far North and Mid North was in the pipeline for August.
Meanwhile, Wairoa's schoolboys' competition had amalgamated with Mid North and teams play matches each Sunday.
