Horahora default

Premier league debutantes Horahora defaulted in their first scheduled game against Marist on Saturday.

The teams played later in the day although the result was not officially recognised.

The chairwoman of the Whangarei City and District Rugby League, Juanita Hool, said both teams were ready to play on Saturday but Horahora had a few players that did not secure proper releases to take the field.

Horahora defeated Marist 26-6.
