Two Northland teenagers have been included in Black Sticks women's hockey coach Kevin Towns' squad of 20 players to prepare for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Charlotte Harrison retains her place in the squad, while 18-year-old Northland defender Jasmin McQuinn is one of the bolters in the squad. She joins 17-year-old Midlands striker Gemma Flynn as the other uncapped player in the squad.
Northland captain Laura Douglas, Kelsey Dunn, Anna Thorpe and Alana Millington all failed to make the cut for the squad after two weeks of a selection camp that included seven unofficial games against South Korea. The squad will be further cut back to 16 players ahead of their departure to Beijing.
