A late second-half goal for Hora Hora secured them a 3-2 win in their reserve men's hockey match against Kamo High School.
A determined Kamo High team fought hard from the start but Hora Hora scored first and took the 1-0 lead into halftime.
It was an even game with both sides having their opportunities on attack, but as the teams tired in the second half the game opened up.
Kamo converted two opportunities and took the lead but a spirited comeback from Hora Hora put them ahead with five minutes left.
Hora Hora coach Jo Smith was happy with the way her team fought despite having key players away, and praised her forward combinations for getting the crucial goals.
"The team rallied to make sure we took the win," Smith said.
