No pressure, Chase McKeown and Luke Brown, but, Northland's team golf professional says you're in with a chance at winning the North Island under-19 Championships over the next few days.
Northland golf professional Quenton Diment is travelling with the team to Hamilton as a manager-cum-mentor and looking to challenge our region's up-and-coming golfers.
"We've got two contenders - if they play well - who can take out the title in Chase McKeown and Luke Brown," said Diment. "The rest of the guys and girls are at various levels of their development.
"What we're trying to do is give them [the up-and-comers] a good chance to develop so in years to come they can chase down the title.
"The kids will be looking for benchmarks, benchmarking themselves against others in New Zealand, where they sit in the scheme of things and see how much work they have to do."
