The ANZ Golf World Show team will be visiting the Whangaroa Golf Club tomorrow and bringing up some top coaches to work with the 30 local youth who have been involved with the club's junior programme.
Whangaroa junior programme spokeswoman Samantha Dangen said this will be a great opportunity for the kids to enjoy a session with some of the country's best coaches, including Craig Dixon from the Institute of Golf who has worked with New Zealand's highly-rated amateur Lydia Ko.
"The local community is getting right behind keeping kids active and getting more kids involved in sport so this will be a great start to their campaign," said Dangen.
The event starts at 10am and runs to the late afternoon.
Among the day's activities will see producers, Sports Inc., presenting the club with $1000 worth of equipment, as well as filming the juniors at play and being coached, and a club personality playing the signature hole (No.14) for an upcoming screening of the show.
