Gold Coast 'dolphin wave rider' enjoys surf at Sandy Bay

FLIPPIN' SPECTACLE: American-born "dolphin wave rider" James McClellan, who lives  on the Gold Coast, Australia, was on holiday in Northland when Northern Advocate photographer Michael Cunningham snapped him dolphin gliding inside a waist-high wave at Sandy Bay on the Tutukaka Coast (left). McClellan was body surfing with flippers and using the force of the  wave to push him into shore. As the wave began to break, he was thrown out of
the wave face (right).
