The under-14 Northland representative season produced some memorable moments for the area's emerging players - none more than their final game at Growers Stadium in Pukekohe.
The boys were down 10-7 at halftime in their final game but came back to win 34-17.
Hori Robson, Jack Goodhue, and Josh Goodhue were the try-scorers, with Dayne Vette Welsh kicking the goals. The result secured the team second place in the Northern regional competition.
The team played two pre-season matches against the Kerikeri under-15s and Counties-Manukau under 14s to prepare them for a successful campaign.
Northland's first representative game was a thrilling 17-5 victory over North Harbour at Silverdale, with Vette Welsh, Jack Goodhue and Codi Tiki Tiki the try-scorers.
The following weekend saw the Auckland under-14s travel to Dargaville. The home side showed solid defence and attacking skill, before finally going down 13-5.
