Whangarei Boys' High School have won the 2015 JB9/Under-16 title after beating Otamatea 29-8 at Toll Stadium.
Capping their unbeaten run through the 2015 season, WBHS faced a fired-up Otamatea side but were dominant throughout.
Some tough games were played against strong opposition in the competition, however WBHS JB9 playedas a team, supported one another and played consistently good, strong rugby.
Over the past four years team members have come and gone from the WBHS side.
Despite this, a few stalwarts of the team - who put their hands up to play for the school back in their first year at WBHS in 2012 - helped the side toward the final, the fourth year they had done so, having won the JB6, JB7, JB8 and now JB9 competitions.
The WBHS JB9 team provided a great season of entertainment, with a solid demonstration of good rugby skills, hard work and excellent sportsmanship.
WBHS coaches Todd Hamilton, Kerry Smith and Sid Gregory said they were proud of their team's effort through the years.
Ten of the boys from this side have been named in the Under-16 South Zone team due to their dominance in the JB9 division.
