Cody Andrews' day one heroics set up an easy second day for his teammates as Maungakaramea completed what was always going to be a comfortable win.
Andrews took six for 27 on day one as Kamo were rolled for 98, with Maungakaramea scoring 230 for seven on day one.
Captain Neal Parlane declared early on day two in an attempt to knock Kamo over early and leave Maungakaramea a small total to chase. And that's exactly what happened.
Kamo managed 76 more runs than their first innings as they went on to be bowled out for 174, with Joey O'Sullivan the pick of the bowlers with three for 41, leaving Maungakaramea needing only 22 runs to win.
City couldn't hold off Kaipara Flats in their encounter after trailing by only two runs after each team's knocks.
