Joining Moulds on the bench is Winston Stanley, who had previously been ruled out for the season due to a thumb injury, with Viliami Tahitu'a dropping out.
Witcombe said his side was under no illusion as to how tough tonight's game would be, despite coming off such a strong performance last week.
"I say it every week, we will enjoy the win and now it's time to move on," he commented.
"If we play like [we did against North Harbour] we can surely go and beat Auckland."
Witcombe invited Northland supporters to get on the road and support the Taniwha at Eden Park, saying it's just a couple of hours down the road.
Gilmore will have plenty on his plate come tonight's 7.35pm kick off with All Black Charles Piutau coming into Auckland's starting lineup as an injury replacement for Blues player George Moala.
Piutau won't be the only All Black for Northland to worry about though, with Charlie Faumuina and Steven Luatua also in the starting lineup as injury replacements.
Auckland suffered a 41-18 loss to Counties-Manukau on Wednesday, with George Moala, Peter Saili and Joe Edwards all sustaining injuries that will see them miss the Northland match.
Tonight will be Auckland's third match in 10 days and their last of the regular season. A bonus-point victory would secure their position in the premiership semifinals.
Auckland coach Paul Feeney believed the match would be like most Northland and Auckland matches, a true battle.
"Matches between these two teams never tend to lack motivation though, they love driving down here to try to knock us over so we know what they will bring," he said, in what is essentially a must-win for them.
Former Taniwha lock Jack Whetton takes Tuipulotu's place in the second row while other changes see TJ Faiane and Leon Fukofuka both return to the starting line-up.
Auckland will have more to play for in that tonight's match will be Tom McCartney and Gareth Anscombe's last game at Eden Park before heading offshore to play in Ireland and Wales respectively.
