Open day

The Northland Coaching Association fundraising Open tournament is being held tomorrow at the Kamo greens. A good field of 32 teams have entered with great support from the Mangawhai Club. Play starts at 9am.

Club contest

The regional New Zealand Club Championships will be played at the Onerahi greens starting next Monday with the mixed pairs. This event will be followed by the championship singles on Tuesday, pairs on Wednesday, triples on Thursday and fours on Friday. Players from Auckland, North Harbour, Northland and Far North will be taking part. The winners will represent region 1 in the New Zealand finals to be played in Invercargill in June. Good bowling to all our Northland representatives, may the rub of the green go your way. Play starts each day at 9.30am.

New surface

Congratulations to the Ngunguru Club who have recently opened their new artificial playing surface and the Kamo Club who have had their artificial surface replaced. Both clubs will now join the winter programme series along with Maungaturoto, Hikurangi, Onerahi and Dargaville. Plenty of tournaments are available to the keen winter bowler.

Players have say

The player forums have now been completed around the centre and it is thanks to those of you who participated and contributed your ideas. These will be now considered by the centre operations committee and the programme for 2013-14 will be recommended to the centre board shortly.
