BOWLS - Champions with four-sight

The women's tournament was won by the Hikurangi Bowling Club four with skipper Manu Timoti, Betty Pouwhare, Dayana Hauraki and Thelma MacDonald, who overcame the Sue Wightman skipped four from the Hakaru Bowling Club.
Onerahi Bowling Club are the men's fours champions of champions after they beat Maungaturoto 16-9 in the final on Sunday.
John Dunn skipped the team with Warwick Edgar, Bill Starkey and lead Gordon Bond just too good for the Kevin Robinson-skipped Maungaturoto team.
Arapohue were the only unbeaten team in the two-life competition after play on Saturday but had the misfortune to meet both Onerahi and Maungaturoto on Sunday and were knocked out.
