Northland's Caroline Bon has again sneaked above the cut line to qualify for the final round of the Deloitte Ladies Open in Holland.
In a virtual replay of her performance at last week's Slovak Open, Bon applied herself in the second round to get over a first round blighted by double bogies.
Her first round total of five-over 77 in the three-round tournament on Friday night (NZT) contained three double bogies, three bogies and four birdies.
Bon's second round total of 74 was a much steadier round, especially considering the blustery conditions at the Broekpolder Golf Club. Her round contained three birdies and five bogies and saw her join a group of nine golfers to make the cut score of seven-over.
England's Holly Aitchison put herself in position for her maiden win on the Ladies European Tour by establishing a two-stroke lead going into the final round with scores of 67 and 71.
While Aitchison is targeting her first victory in her third year as a professional, her closest challenger, the only other Kiwi on the LET, Lynnette Brooky, will be drawing on 16 years' of experience as she takes aim at her fifth tour title and her first since the 2006 Open de Espana.
The 43-year-old from Wellington has been struggling with an ankle injury this week after she fell down a flight of stairs on Thursday and almost pulled out of the tournament, but she added a 69 to her opening 71 to sit alone in second on four-under.
Frenchwoman Anne-Lise Caudal is third two shots back on two-under, while the current European number-one Christel Boeljon from the Netherlands and England's Melissa Reid share fourth spot on one under par.
With 18 holes to play, Swede Caroline Hedwall in sixth, still holds a chance of claiming a third trophy in seven days, following victories at last week's Slovak Open and PowerPlay Golf Ignition tournament. The third and final round of the tournament got under way overnight.
