Manaia Junior Rugby JB2 Team (pictured) played the Manukau Rovers at Eden Park ahead of the Blues game against the Sharks.
A large contingent from the club travelled to Auckland to play the 10-a-side fixture, for their first game of the season.
Manaia have just moved into the JB2 division this year (aged 7-9-years-old). It was a very physical game and the team, coached by Craig Botha, Aaron Kennedy and Phill Rose and managed by Ula Botha, made us very proud showing courage and team spirit working together.
Although the Blues lost, the young team enjoyed every minute of the game and loved their experience of playing at Eden Park.
