The Mairtown Aces - Elvis Reti (left), Kara George, Noah Gulick and captain Jason Searle - have been crowned the champions of the 2011 Northland Men's A Reserve Interclub competition, tussling over the title against 12 competitive teams during the past five months.
Although the final has been dominated by Mairtown teams in previous years, GT Radials from Kamo secured the other berth to contest the 2011 title.
During the recent final round the Mairtown Aces proved too strong for their opposition and won both doubles matches and all four singles matches to defeat the Kamo side, 6-0.
With the round robin scoring system being used, the Ngunguru team, who won their final match, finished the competition runners-up while Kamo were third.
