Whangārei singer-songwriter Erin Cole-Baker is releasing an album for the first time in seven years, which was recorded completely in Whangārei.
The Parua Bay resident, recorded the album, called Till the feelings right over two three-day periods at Anzac Rd Studio in Whangārei last year. The release coincides with NZMusic Month.
Cole-Baker said the studio uses analogue recording equipment and all the songs were recorded to tape, and were mostly recorded live.
The official release is tonight at the Old Library. Doors open at 7.30pm and Cole-Baker performs at 8pm.
Tomorrow she is playing at Leigh Sawmill and then in June she has gigs confirmed in Nelson, Raglan and Waikaretu.
She said the genre is 'folk-rock' and includes songs dedicated to her two young daughters, June and Flo.

Cole-Baker describes her song-writing as "on the introspective side of things".
She is really excited for the release and said it will be a "huge celebration".
Tickets to the album release are available from Eventfinda for $20.
The album is available on Bandcamp, ITunes, CD Baby, Spotify and Pandora. A physical copy is available to purchase from Bandcamp or at the release tonight.
