Secondly they should know that if they did not take that money off us we would spend it and it would generate jobs and prosperity for the people of Whangarei.
When the Government takes money it tends to use it inefficiently and wastefully.
Most Members of Parliament can identify the benefits of government expenditure, very few though understand that there is a cost to the productive economy of taking that money.
Obviously a Government needs to tax us to pay for hospitals and schools but the Act Party is determined that government expenditure is used wisely.
The big difference in philosophy between the left and the right of politics is the trust they show the people of New Zealand.
For example the left believe that unless the state pays a parent to stay home and look after their baby, the baby will not be looked after as well. So they tax us to pay for paid parental leave.
The right, such as Act, believe that parents will make provision themselves to look after their baby and the biggest reason they struggle to do so is because prior to having the baby the two parents were paying massive amounts of tax to other parents, so they end up needing paid parental leave themselves.
Leave the money with those who earned it, vote right.
