Emergency services have been to a number of crashes across Northland this morning following the arrival of wet weather.
Police are urging motorists to take care as rain has made the roads treacherous.
There were crashes this morning; one on State Highway 14 near Dargaville and another in the town, one on the Brynderwyn Hills and another at Bulls Gorge south of Kerikeri.
Motorists travelling along State Highway 14 towards Dargaville have reported parts of the road were slippery due to the weather conditions.
Northland Road Policing Manager Inspector Wayne Ewers said motorists needed to slow down and not follow too closely.
