Two stabbed in brawl

Police are seeking one more man who was involved in a fight that ended with two stabbings.

Two men are in hospital and another has appeared in court following a late-night brawl in which two men were stabbed. Police and ambulance were called to a property in Whananaki about 11.30pm Tuesday after an argument over money involving a group of men, all in their early 30s, turned violent. One man allegedly pulled out a knife and cut another man's arm.

Another fight broke out and another man suffered stabbed wounds to his stomach. Both injured men were taken to hospital while one man appeared in court yesterday facing charges of assault with intent to injure and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Police are looking for one more man in relation to the fight.
