Two Whangarei people facing serious drug dealing charges have been denied bail.
Lateisha Ann Jeeves, 21, of Raumanga, appeared in the Whangarei District Court yesterday where she pleaded not guilty to 12 charges of supplying methamphetamine, six of offering to supply methamphetamine, one of possessing arms and ammunition and one of possessing cannabis.
Judge Philippa Cunningham remanded Jeeves in custody until December 12, but allowed leave to apply for electronic bail before that date if a suitable address could be found.
Jeeves had allegedly been in a car police found abandoned on State Highway 1, south of Portland, about 6am on September 26. Police believe a house Jeeves was found in contained stolen property.
Meanwhile, Isaac Luke Ferguson, 28, who was charged with 31 counts of supplying methamphetamine, one each of possessing LSD for supply, unlawfully possessing a firearm and six counts of receiving stolen property after Jeeves was arrested, was also denied bail yesterday. He was remanded in custody until November 11.
