Truck crash blocks SH1 near Hikurangi

Two trucks have crashed in Northland, knocking one onto its side and blocking a state highway.

The two truck collision took place on State Highway 1 near the intersection of Jordan Valley Rd, Hikurangi, around 6.45am, police said.

One truck had ended up on its side, and it was completely blocking the north-bound lane, police said.

One person had suffered minor injuries in the collision, and was being treated at the scene.

Emergency services were working to clear the scene, and diversions would be put in place, police said.
