Two buildings have been removed from Hora Hora Primary School but the school's principal was not sad to see them go.
The buildings were put in place temporarily while 10 new classrooms - and shared spaces containing kitchens - were built to replace old classrooms.
The school's roll has grown from 250 students to about 390 within five years.
Principal Pat Newman said the new classrooms are now completed and will be officially opened on February 17.
"It's amazing, it's the first time we have a building designed for what we want to do. The kids are really excited, they've dragged their parents to have a look," he said.
