Due to high advance bookings, the film Māui's Hook will be shown at extra sessions at Event Cinemas Whangārei and Anzac Cinema in Dargaville.
Made by Whangārei psychologist and filmmaker Paora Joseph, Māui's Hook is designed to be part of the conversation about suicide.
The doco-drama is described as a compelling road trip of loss, forgiveness and redemption.
It focuses on five families after the suicide of a loved one, including the Albert family from Whangārei.
