The 2017 edition of the North Island Age Groups has drawn 112 players to the Northland region to battle for these coveted titles.
Meanwhile Maia Smales will look to add another title to her collection after winning the Oceania Junior Championships Under 11 title earlier this year. Should all go to seeding she will need to get past local Northlander Hayley Rhodes in the final to claim the title.
Top seed Winona-Jo Joyce will be looking to add the Under 17 North Island Age Groups title after claiming both the Under 17 and 19 Girls titles. Local Northlander Annmarie Holst is seeded second and will look to use the home courts to her advantage.
Top seed in the Under 19 Boys Matthew Lucente will be seeking to claim this title heading into the World Junior Championships.
However, second seed and Northlander Finn Trimble will have the same thoughts on his mind as he seeks to win his third title this year having already claimed the Oceania Junior Championships Under 19 title and the Aon New Zealand Junior Open title.
