The annual Fiji Day celebration is back.
Whangarei's Forum North will be the venue on Saturday for the best of Fijian culture and food as the island nation celebrates its independence from Britain.
The Northland Fijian community's social group, comprising more than 30 families, is again hosting the popular event that usually attracts a good cross-section of people.
Nothing is complete without traditional Fijian and island entertainment and a buffet dinner will feature authentic Fijian cuisine and drinks.
Towards the end of the six-hour programme, the crowd will be invited on to the dance floor to bring the event to a close.
