After an appeal on social media Kiwi singer/songwriter Anika Moa has found a suitable venue for her upcoming gig in Whangarei - at the city's new musical hub, the Old Library.
Earlier this month Moa appealed for a suitable venue to bring her In Between Naps national tour in Whangarei on April 29 - saying she needed a venue that could hold at least 100 people and be cheap enough to charge only a gold coin entry fee. The tour is to promote her latest album - Songs For Bubbas 2 - a collection of children's songs. On her Facebook page Moa said so far the tour had been brilliant and urged people to take their tamariki along for a dance at the remaining shows.
Moa said previously the tour is a way of giving back to all those who supported Songs for Bubbas 2, with just a gold coin donation (and a tot) required to take in the action at her gigs. Its production was funded by a Pledge Me campaign.
Moa will play at the Old Library, Rust Ave, at 10.30am on April 29.
