Kaeo Rugby Football Club's junior side has taken out the 2016 Hora Hora Junior Rugby Sevens Tournament after a gutsy 21-7 win over City in the final.
Grinding out five games on the day, Kaeo made steady progress on their way to the final versus City - a dominant outing which saw them score a grand total of a whopping 170 points during the tournament, with only 14 points being scored against them.
But they met a tough opponent in City, and they were locked 7-all as the halftime whistle sounded.
However, Kaeo embraced their superior fitness and determination as they ran back on for the second half, and were able to keep City scoreless while running in two tries of their own; the end score 21-7.
Man of the Match for the final went to Layken Tua.
