A Whangarei photographer has scooped nine accolades in a national competition for a selection of wedding photos and a series of creative, provocative images.
Dawn Dutton won four silver and five bronze medals in a number of categories at the Epson/NZ Institute of Professional Photography (NZIPP) Iris Awards, in Queenstown last month. The images were of real Northland weddings, plus a series of portraits showing the "innocence and loss of one woman from age five to 75", she said.
All entries were judged by a panel of judges who included some of the most qualified and renowned local and international photographers.
"I was extremely proud to be one of the photographers representing Northland.
"Winning these awards for myself and my clients was an exciting and humbling experience." said Ms Dutton.
