Whangārei Boys' High School held on in the rain to draw with the North Harbour 1A Competition two-time defending champions Rosmini College.
After leading 12-10 at the break, WBHS were pushed to the brink at home but held on to share the spoils at 15-all.
WBHS came into the clash full of confidence after a strong 24-0 win over Orewa College the week before and, with the rain radar not looking great for the afternoon, they went on an early charge and had Rosmini on the back foot.

Rosmini looked like they would hang on during the early raid after resolute defending but it wasn't long before No 8 Esile Fono smashed his way over the tryline after slick backline moves.
