Taniwha Dan Pryor has picked up Northland's Player of the Year, and Players' Player of the Year award, at the NRU's prizegiving.
The 25-year-old openside flanker consistently had one of Northland's highest tackle counts, not to mention hit ups, throughout the season. Pryor played in every game of the ITM Cup season, meaning he has now turned out 35 times for the province.
Lock David Morgan, from Otamatea, was named Most Improved Forward while halfback Mac Sykes, from Kamo, was named the Most Improved Back.
The Players' Team Man of the Year title went to hard-working, and rarely recognised, prop Bronson Murray.
In terms of who new Northland coaches Derren Witcombe and George Konia thought was the best player, Jack Ram won Coaches' choice.
