Whangārei and Kaitāia people will have a chance to directly feed into the Government's review of NCEA later this month.
John Paitai, principal of Bay of Islands College, is hosting the public workshops and is encouraging parents, students, local business owners and community groups to come down and have their say.
"I want my grandchildren's education to be about igniting a flame for learning and not merely filling an empty vessel," Paitai said.
The interactive, café-style workshop is open to everyone and is part of a series happening right across the country.
They are designed to give all Kiwis the chance to share their ideas and experiences of NCEA - the challenges, the successes and what we can do better in the future.
