Police seek Kamo home invaders

Police are calling for sightings of a car used in a home invasion in Kamo today.

Police are calling for public help to find a car stolen after a home invasion in Kamo, Whangarei, today.

The occupants of a house in Three Mile Bush Rd were threatened with a knife and tied up in their home about 4pm this afternoon.

The two male offenders made off with their car, described as a red 2011 Ford Mondeo, registration FWA509.

Police urge anyone who sees the car to call 111 immediately. The occupants should not be approached.

The victims of the home invasion are shaken but not injured.

Police set up a series of road blocks and checkpoints on State Highway 1 and back roads this afternoon.

It is thought the offenders headed north.
