An indoor cannabis growing operation has been uncovered by police in the Far North.
About 150 plants, of all sizes , were found by police at a Pukenui property growing under lights on Wednesday.
The set up was dismantled and thrown in the back of a police ute for destruction.
A 43-year-old man was arrested and is due to appear in Kaitaia District court on cannabis related charges on September 12.
Earlier this year more than 46,000 cannabis plants, 40 guns and 37g of methamphetamine (P) was seized in a Northland police crime and cannabis operation. The biggest haul of the annual drug blitz was an indoor growing operation containing 526 plants.
