Thirty mostly young actors plus an ensemble of musicians have been performing A Midsummer Night's Dream — one of Shakespeare's best-loved comedies — in the outdoor setting of Kainui Rd Vineyard off SH10.

The tale is set in ancient Athens and features four mixed-up young lovers, a hilarious play within a play by a group of peasant actors, and mischievous forest fairies sowing havoc among mortals.

The Kerikeri Theatre Company production wrapped up with a fourth and final show yesterday. Photos by Peter de Graaf.
