New Northland MP Winston Peters says he will open at least one electorate office in the region after wrestling the seat from National.
The New Zealand First leader has had his majority in the Northland seat increased after final votes were counted this week and said he planned to open at least one electorate office to give the public good access to the party.
Mr Peters shares a parliamentary office in Whangarei with NZ First list MP Pita Paraone.
Mr Peters said he had decided to open at least one office in the Northland electorate office, but was waiting for details such as leases to be finalised.
The National Party's Northland electorate office in Kerikeri will close on April 17 following the defeat of Mark Osborne in the March 28 by-election.
