Peaches the rat and her family are looking for homes.

Peaches is a young female rat looking for a home.

The SPCA also has her sisters Pogo and Pickles and mum Pandora.

Rats, if they are well handled, make great pets who are friendly and affectionate.

They need a large secure cage to live in and prefer to live in same sex pairs.

Her tip: It's getting hotter out there during the day. If your dog is tied up make sure it has easy access to a kennel and shade and has plenty of fresh water that can't be tipped over.
