New Zealand's para-athletes arrived back in the country this morning after their best ever Paralympic campaign.
Northland's Cameron Leslie, Emma Foy and Chris Sharp will fly in with the rest of the team after all three impressed in Rio.
Leslie set a world record while getting gold in the SM4 150m Individual Medley. He also set two other personal bests.
Cyclist Foy, with sighted pilot Laura Thompson, brought home a silver medal in the Women's B 3000m Individual Pursuit and a bronze in the Women's B Road Race. Sharp and his para-sailing crew were unlucky to miss out on a medal, finishing fourth behind Canada courtesy of a countback.
New Zealand finished their campaign in Rio with 21 medals - nine goal, five silver and seven bronze. This was three medals over their target.
