One-day event contested by Whangārei (Whg), Far North (FN), Bay of Islands (BOI) and Rodney/Northern Wairoa (R/NW) centres (April 28).

Each centre had a team of 12 players - three singles, one pair, one triples, one fours.

Overall winners on the day: Whangārei 54 points, Far North 45, Bay of Islands 29, Rodney/Northern Wairoa 16.

Top scorers: Singles - Lyn Brittain (Whg), Lynn Pooley (FN) 12 points, Kia Ward (Whg) 10, Graeme Collins (R/NW) 7; pairs - Peter Sole, Steven Joyce (FN) 10; triples - Noel Bethel, Judy Bethel, Jenny Taylor (BOI) 10; fours - Marcel Ruedi, Murray Madden, John Colman, Eleanor Holt (Whg) 11.
