The Northland Circus Festival is gearing up to be a vibrant, colourful, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities this summer.
Organised by Dargaville-based non-profit organisation Kumarani Productions Trust, the festival will run from January 6-8 next year, at the Waipoua Forest Campground. It will offer a wide range of circus workshops for all levels and abilities, from object manipulation and juggling through to aerial arts.
Sharing skills and learning from other people is all part of the experience, and with stalls and displays, cultural workshops, live art creations, music and open stages spread throughout the festival its combination of social arts is set to inspire.
The Saturday night Gala Show will feature some of the best circus performers from NZ and abroad. It promises to be a spectacular event and this year will be followed by fire-spinning and music into the night.
Camping is available just a short distance from the main festival site and bookings can be made through the Waipoua Visitor Centre 09 439 6445.
