Whangarei Boys' High School's James Dean Fisher Harris has been named the Most Valuable Player in the developing grade at the National Secondary Schools Rugby League Tournament in Auckland.
Fisher Harris was joined as an award winner by Boys' High's Kauri Harema and Kaitaia College's Taylor Waenga, who each received the fair play awards for their respective grades, the developing and premier grades.
Harema and Waenga picked up the accolades on Thursday evening as the pair were presented the titles at an awards ceremony at Mt Smart Stadium.
However, the awards ceremony was not the end of the week for the Northland schoolboys as they turned out for their sides in yesterday's final matches.
Kaitaia College were the more successful on the final day. as they outscored Aranui High School 28-14 to claim 11th spot.
