Whangarei netballers have re-lived the year that was, with Cherith Schraag claiming the top award at the Whangarei Netball Centre's annual prizegiving.
Schraag also picked up the Best All Round Defence Player award before claiming the Outstanding Player of the Year title, edging out Jessica Hita who won the Best All Round Player.
Following in Schraag's footsteps at collegiate level is Jaimee Newton who won the Most Promising Collegiate Player Trophy during the September 20 evening.
Others to pick up awards were Toni Power, for coach of the year, Hannah Turner, for best junior umpire, and Kate Te Whata for best all round goaling ability.
