With a finals spot on the line, Manawanui were up against Fideliter Gold, the team that handed them their first loss of the championship round, in Whangārei netball at the weekend.
However, the roles were reversed this time as Manawanui grasped the game with both hands to record a 66-44 win.
Manawanui playing a structured game and built on their lead every quarter with accurate shooting from Sherryn Lefever at goal attack also combining well with goal shooters Leihana Tito-Shelford and Jaelyn Walker.
Tyler Nankivell was a nuisance at wing defence as well as Jasmine Milton at goal keep applying pressure and contesting every ball for the entire game. Fideliter were in the game for the first half, but the margin became too great, and eventually they played for pride.
Jean Brown, playing at wing attack then centre, was the link for the shooters and was unfazed by the mature Manawanui players surrounding her.
