A perfect season and a fourth consecutive title has been realised by Fideliter 1, winning the Educare North Premier Netball Championship 72-55 over Helena Bay Whangaruru at Kensington Stadium.
The win caps off an unbeaten season for Fideliter and delivered on their ranking as the team to beat right fromthe start of the season.
Saturday night's final started strong and there was not much between the two teams by the end of the first quarter, with Helena Bay Whangaruru only down by two goals.
However, in the next two quarters Fideliter showed their speed, flair, and skill, putting together some nice phases of attacking play and ending up ahead by 17 at the end of the third - holding that lead to the final whistle.
For Fideliter, the depth in the team allowed coach Alb Baker to rotate players constantly putting fresh legs on the court.
In the mid court Lara Cooper at wing attack in the main played a beautiful game showing off her talent, particularly in the air. Centre Jo Davis-Cooper and wing defence Rowie Davis-Cooper rounded out an impressive mid court combination.
Jude Campbell at goal attack was on form, barely missing a shot, and she was well supported by her shooting team mates Kate Te Whata and Cassey Cooper at goal shoot.
Meanwhile at the other end, Alisha Takimoana and Nikki Latu at goal keep and defence combined well to shut down the attack.
