Teams of Northlanders representing marae across the region will be whipping up all kinds of delicious food in a bid to become Marae Kai Masters.
Five Northland teams representing different marae around the region will be hoping their cooking skills pay off as they battle it out in the Maori Television cooking series, Marae Kai Masters.
The show is similar to the popular My Kitchen Rules, which will see 12 teams representing marae from around New Zealand cook to win prizes for their wharekai and the ultimate title of Marae Kai Masters 2016.
The Northland competitors include sisters Marino Armstrong and Ruru Mahanga representing Ngararatunua Marae, friends Phillipa Reti and Polly Hall representing Waikare Marae in Kawakawa, sisters Wini Rata-Frood and Tui Rata representing Whananaki Marae, Bonz Thompson and Brian Wikairi who are whanau representing Moria Marae in Hokianga and Anthony and Kathy Dunn who are a husband and wife duo from Matawaia Marae in Kaikohe.
