League: Warriors proving to be points-scoring machine

Summer's gone, but two games into the Rugby League Northland premiership and the Takahiwai Warriors "points for" column reads like a cricket score.

Above, Takahiwai's Seyerus Miller shifts the ball wide from a scrum. The Warriors took Horahora Broncos apart on Saturday at Takahiwai, 90-0, to add to the 54 points they scored against Northern Wairoa Bulls last week.

It wasn't the only blowout of the round - Moerewa Tigers hit the ground running in their first match of the season, after a first round bye, and accounted for the Bulls 72-8. Hokianga collected their second win of the season when Portland defaulted. Otangarei Knights had the bye.
