The NZ Transport Agency says the Kamo bypass on State Highway 1 (SH1) in Whangarei will be closed tonight (Friday) from 7pm and until 6am on Saturday.
The closure is necessary to allow KiwiRail to undertake maintenance work on its line crossing the highway.
There will be diversions in place. Both north and south bound travellers on SH1 will be diverted between Kamo Road and Spring Flat.
