One of Kamo's most recognisable buildings is up for sale. The distinctive brick-clad Kamo Hotel built in the early 1930s, was put on the market two weeks ago and real estate salesman Gary Boucher said already there have been nearly 700 hits on the website while 10 people have requested sales packs. It has had major exterior renovations as well as being brought up to 67 per cent earthquake compliance. The property has four occupied tenancies with a net yield of 9 per cent on the sale price of $1,563,000. The hotel was also on the market two years ago but did not sell.
